New Years Day 2009
I like to try to get out on the first day of the year each season. 2009 started off with a beautiful trip on the ice with George. The ice was vacant and we had a great time with midsized rainbow trout coming in throughout the day. I managed one 11 inch brook trout that ended up on the breakfast table the following morning. Brookies are a tasty treat with bacon and eggs. The first day of the new year always holds such promise for fishing and I thoroughly enjoyed my first trip in 2009. A day filled with with good beer, good fishing, and good conversation.
