Another quick video from last week on the water. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get out this weekend and enjoy the beautiful weather. This week I should start into gear up mode for winter on the river. I have a couple patterns that need to be replenished to get ready for the season.

Hehe... yeah, he didn't smile. He didn't understand that I was filming and just expected me to take a still picture with the digicam. That is why he paused like that. For a good in video easter egg, take a look at what the deer on his hat are doing. :)
I thought I was checking out one of my wife's videoing episodes for a second, until it was turned the correct way (she never turns it the right way - it's fun to watch the family watch her videos with everybody's head tilted to the side).
The hat is indeed a classic.

We were at some of the plains lakes. If you draw an hour drive time circle around Laramie there are tons of great stillwaters that all make up the plains lakes here. We are very lucky to have some great choices of lakes to fish in the valley.
