The Ice Is Finally Melting

We finally have some of the higher elevation lakes beginning to ice out this year. High winds assisted the ice loss throughout the day on this particular body of water. We had some decent ice out fishing for smaller rainbows in the 10 to 14 inch range. I also managed my first snake river cutthroat for the year... nothing monsterous but nice to see a cutthroat in April. A little river time produced one decent but snaky brown trout as well while swinging buggers.
